In the early 1990's I was living in a cabin on the shore of Lake Fairlee in Post Mills, Vermont. It was a magical time in which I spent time sitting quietly in a boat watching hot air balloons drifting above the water and listening to a muse I had not heard in a while. Included here is a sampling of some of the music that flowed out in the middle of the day and night. The studio I had at the time included several digitally sampled sound units, a midi controller keyboard, digital tape recorders, drum machine, and computer. All of it was patched together with a combination of MIDI wires, 1/4-inch plugs and RCA jacks. In a word, it was what is now an old-school electronic studio. These pieces were performed, recorded on multiple tracks, and then mixed and edited.
